Parish Council

The Parish Council is a fifteen (15) member board of parishioners, elected by the parish, which advises the Pastor on area parish life.  Meetings are held six (6) times a year.  Parish nominations and elections are held in May and June.  New members take office on July 1.

Board of Parish Education

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Religious Education policy is directed by elected and appointed parishioners.  All children, youth and adult education programs are screened for the Pastor through this board.

Saint Vincent DePaul Society

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs has a unit of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society.  Persons who seek assistance are served by this society.  Donations of goods and monies can be made through Parish Poor Boxes or in a collection with months that have a fifth Sunday.

Council of Catholic Women

All ladies of the parish are invited to be members of the CCW.  Members participate in both church and community activities.  General meetings of the full membership are held September thru May, on the second Monday of the month.  A social hour follows each meeting.  Contact the CCW  through the parish office.

Knights of Columbus

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Knights of Columbus Council 13639 received its charter November 1, 2004.  In keeping with the principles of our Order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism, we are dedicated to provide service, time and money to support our Parish Ministries and other deserving charities in our area.  Our goal is to provide a minimum of four programs each in five categories: Church, Community, Council, Family and Youth Activities.  Thanks to our membership, support of our Parish Staff and the generosity of our community, we are able to make a difference.  We welcome all Catholic men 18 yrs. of age and older, who share our values, to join us.  Contact the Grand Knight through the Parish office.

SECULAR FRANCISCAN ORDER

The Secular Franciscan Order (Third Order of St. Francis), Portiuncula Fraternity, offers its members the means to live a consecrated life, which one makes by professing loyalty to the Franciscan Rule of the SFO. Our membership includes both men and women from all walks of life in surrounding parishes who are interested in developing a more intimate relationship with God. The Portiuncula Fraternity meets every 3rd Sunday from 2 to 4 PM. For more information, visit our website at http://portiuncula.home.comcast.net
